Hello

I'm Courtney, and I'm eight. My Mum is Sara and my Dad is Max.

I was born in Paraburdoo, that's in Western Australia.

When I was five, we came back to live in New Zealand. Well! My Mum and Dad came back. I didn't actually come back because I hadn't lived in New Zealand before. So now we live at Whakamarama. That's near Tauranga.

At first I wanted to go back to Paraburdoo, because it was warm and my friends lived there, but now I like living here. I have new friends and I have my cousins, Rob, Matthew, Jared, Alicia, Nathan and Maxlyn. Maxlyn lives in Wales but soon he is coming to live in New Zealand.

I have a dog called Kelda. She is a Border terrier and she sleeps on my bed. I have a cat called Benny - well, he's Dad's cat really but we all love him. He lived with us in Australia. He is a BIG cat, because Dad used to feed him on roo meat.We have six hens that lay lots of eggs and we have Milly, Molly and Mandy and Sandy and Murray. Milly, Molly and Mandy and Sandy are cows but Murray is a big bull.

I go to Whakamarama School. My teacher is Mrs.Hermitage. She's pretty good, but she gives us lots of homework which Granny MAKES me do!

I got a mountain bike for my birthday. I go to the mail-box on it and Kelda comes too then we have races, but Kelda always wins. Sometimes I go for bike rides with Molly and Ellen and Sarah. They are my friends.

I like riding my bike, and I like reading and I like to cook things and make salad for Mum and Dad.

I like to help Mum in the garden too, and I like to wash Mum's car, Dad's truck and Grannie's car.

My favourite animals are dogs, cats and horses. I like to go to World of Horses for my practice.

I HATE having my hair tied up in pigtails and I HATE cooked carrots.
