Eric Claude Whittington
Early recollections from friend John Tenquist.
Eric and I were great mates: Long before I was married, I used to go and stay with his parents at Christchurch. Eric's father had good friends - the Austins I think, who were very much up in the racing world. I remember going to Washdyke races with them once.
Eric and I started herd testing at the same time in 1955. Eric's wife Mary was also just out from Scotland and we all started working there at the same time. Eric was best man at our wedding.
